A sequence of four giclee prints exploring the end of the 19th century & early 20th century as a moment when the socialist ideals of the Arts and Crafts Movement in Britain coincided with the leveraging of the skills of working class flower makers in Paris to advance socialist demands for better working conditions in the garment trades with reference to the writings of Émile Zola on the emerging revolutionary contexts surrounding these activities. This moment in Paris also saw attempts to exploit the superior skills of working class garment workers to bolster a national political agenda.
